Baby Bones

Did you Know?

My baby broke his kneecap - BabyonaBudget.co.za

Babies are born with about 300 bones, but some of them fuse as they grow, resulting in 206 bones in adults?

Wow, babies don’t have kneecaps?!? It’s true! They have soft cartilage that will eventually harden into bones as they grow up. This makes them more flexible and able to fit through tight spaces, like the birth canal. But it also means they can’t do some of the things we take for granted, like kneeling, crawling, or playing soccer. That’s why they need our love and support, and maybe some extra padding. Babies are amazing, but they’re also very kneedy!
